Summer Tour

The Summer Tour provides the host watershed district(s) or watershed management organization(s) with the opportunity to showcase their watershed management efforts. It also provides members with the chance to visit other areas of the state to learn about watershed work from flood control and drainage to water quality and more.

The 2025 Minnesota Watersheds Summer Tour was hosted by the Roseau River Watershed District (RRWD). The district planned a tour that featured local projects and addressed a wide range of water quality, agricultural drainage, flood protection, habitat improvement, and stormwater management issues. These projects and facilities were easily accessible within short driving distances from Roseau. Some featured highlights in Roseau included the Norland Impoundment, the Oak Crest Coulee Clean Water Project, Roseau Rock Arch Rapids, the City of Roseau’s East Diversion Project, the Roseau Lake Rehabilitation Project, and the Watershed Ditch 115 (WD 115) project. There was also the opportunity to view several projects from the tour bus. Attendees might have also found some free time to visit the Polaris Industries Experience Center or tour their manufacturing facility.
